The land was originally the local blacksmith yard – a central place of importance in the local community. The house was a relocation home, from Kangaroo Point, under the Story Bridge.
The first owners started the fit out, including modernizing by replacing VJ boards with plaster throughout and fitting out a new kitchen and bathroom. They placed the property on the market prior to completion, and Tracie was fortunate to purchase this lovely home and place her own stamp on it. Proximity to the highway makes this home ideally situated for travelling to Brisbane in under an hour, while maintaining a rural lifestyle for the family. It’s under 15 minutes to Ipswich, Fernvale and Rosewood. A short drive to Wivenhoe Dam and many wonderful destinations in the Brisbane and Lockyer Valleys. The rear of the property opens onto a reserve, with a pedestrian walkway going to the Primary School without a single road to cross. The township of Marburg has a lovely old pub (recently refurbished), antique store, post office with gift shop, 2 cafes, doctors, vet, chemist, community centre, playground and skate park. The local showgrounds and racetrack are home to Trotting, Dancing, Car meets and the annual show.
Marburg Primary School is a short walk. Buses stop in Marburg for a number of Secondary Schools including West Moreton Anglican College, Faith Lutheran College, St. Edmonds & Ipswich Grammar. Minden Bus service also operate a bus run to Fernvale Primary School.
